Organs And Their Corresponding Emotions

Organs and emotions.jpg

“Everything that appears in the physical realm is always connected with energy flow at the invisible level.”

Nan Lu

If there’s one thing I’ve learned on my healing journey, it’s that everything is connected. Our emotions are connected to certain organs and have a tremendous impact on our health depending on how we choose to navigate them.

It’s All Energy

Breast issues often represent the refusal to nourish and nurture oneself. A woman’s emotional upsets such as hurt, sorrow, broken heart, guilt, melancholy are often held in her breasts. They are super sensitive to our external and internal environments and to the relationship with have with ourselves and with others. Caroline Myss shares  “The major emotion behind breast lumps and breast cancer is hurt, sorrow and unfinished emotional business generally related to nurturance.”

Guilt over not being able to forgive others or oneself often blocks the breast’s energy. The breasts are located next to the heart chakra which represents the true self, the heart of the soul. Emotions like regret and the “broken heart” are energetically stored in this area of the body,

Being diagnosed with any kind of health issue is a call for growth. It’s a call to tap into your body, to listen to what your body is communicating with you, what does it need? Take this situation as an opportunity for transformation and healing. Learn about yourself. Most of us have never been taught to harness our intuition and give our bodies what it needs on the physical, emotional and spiritual plane. This is your chance.

Herbs that support the breasts:

“Studies have shown that severe emotional losses such as divorce, death of a loved one, or loss of a job may set the stage for cancer, depending on how the woman deals with the loss. It is not the loss that causes the problem – it’s the inability to express one’s grief fully, release it, and respond to the situation in a healthy adaptive manner.” Dr. Christiane Northrup.

When navigating specific emotions, knowing which organ it correlates to can help you to pay special attention to such organ. For example, if you’re dealing with a lot of anger, you can do a castor oil pack on the liver to help clear any congestion, and take herbs that help detoxify and cleanse the liver. This will not only help you maintain physical health but will help you process the emotions.

Many alcoholics or heavy drinkers deal with a lot of anger. Since high alcohol consumption will lead to a congested liver, anger is often the result.

It’s how we work through and process our emotions that is important. You want to fully feel your emotions, release and respond to the corresponding situation accordingly. Avoiding our feelings or sweeping them under the rug will only result in physical manifestations of dis-ease down the road.

Liver

According to TCM, the liver is the organ most affected by stress and associated with anger, resentment, frustration, irritability, envy and bitterness. The liver is involved in the smooth flow of energy and blood in the body. The liver’s coupled organs are the eyes and gallbladder which also affected by the same emotions.

Herbs that support the liver:

Heart

Heart health is so much more than cardiovascular fitness. It’s about deep contentment with one’s life and self. The heart is also located next to the breasts which also respond to the heart’s emotions. The breasts are seen as the gatekeepers of the heart. The heart experiences love, joy, happiness along with hate, cruelty, impatience and over excitement. The heart’s coupled organs are the small intestine and pancreas.

Herbs that support the heart:

  • Tulsi (holy basil)

  • Rose (very heart opening)

  • Hibiscus

  • Nettle

  • Violet

Stomach

The stomach’s function is very easily compromised by feelings of worry, anxiety, stress and mistrust. Digestion and absorption become compromised affecting digestive health and the rest of the body. The stomach’s coupled organs are the spleen and pancreas. Fairness, openness and trust are the positive emotions correlated to these organs.

Herbs and supplements that support the digestive system:

  • Digestive enzymes

  • Bitters

  • Ginger

  • Fennel

  • Mint

  • Dandelion

  • Slippery elm

  • Marshmallow root

Lungs

Lungs are the organ most affected by grief, sadness, depression and anxiety, but it’s also the site of courage and righteousness. We often hold our breath or experience shallow and irregular breathing when we’re anxious. The lung’s couple organ is the large intestine. Letting things go will greatly benefit the lungs.

Herbs that support the lungs:

Kidneys

Kidneys and adrenals are affected by fear along with the ears and bladder. Have you ever had to go the bathroom when you were nervous or scared? I was an incredibly nervous and fearful child and constantly had to go to the bathroom. The kidneys supply extra chi (Qi) or energy to the rest of the organs. Too much fear will deplete these organs of their innate energy.

Herbs that support the kidneys:

Negative emotions weaken our body whereas positive emotions strengthen the body, reduce stress and bring peace and harmony.

How do you clear these trapped emotions?

My journey of working with fascia and pulling the stress, trauma and trapped emotions out of my body has been THE MOST healing thing I've ever done and it changed EVERYTHING for me.

The easiest and quickest way I’ve been able to release my trapped emotions is with fascia maneuvers. They have completely changed my life and I don’t say that lightly.

I look forward to supporting you.
