Movement
I think most of us are familiar with the importance of exercising for our health. There are some key points that are worth noting when it comes to breast health.
First and foremost, find something that you love. Doing things we love comes much more easily then engaging in activities that don’t bring us joy. This simple act of following what we enjoy is a nurturing act and very beneficial for breast health.
Do something consistently. Maybe it’s taking a long walk 4 times a week. Whatever you do, do it consistently and frequently. Just taking a walk every day will have much more benefits than going to play tennis twice a month.
Exercise is the best way to move the lymph as it relies on muscular contraction. It helps stimulate the lymphatic system which eliminates toxins, this is especially important for the breast tissue since there’s no muscle tissue in this area.
The bouncing action of the breasts is nature’s way of helping move the lymphatic which promotes detoxification and nourishment.
It helps tone the immune system. It’s been clinically proven that regular exercise helps increase immunity and resistance to cancer.
Exercise helps the body clear excess estrogen, detoxify breast tissue and maintain healthy hormonal balance.
Poor posture causes poor circulation of blood and lymph in the chest area. Engaging in activities such as yoga will help strengthen your posture and open the chest area.
Exercise not only benefits the body in a physical manner but it helps to move and clear energy. This energy (feelings and emotions) can become blocked and manifest as physical dis-ease.
Exercise reduces the levels of body fat and levels of circulating estrogen. This is due to the fact that fat cells manufacture estrogen.
Exercise reduces stress, anxiety, improves sleep and the quality of life.
Life can get quite busy and many women can find it challenging to exercise consistently. Find an accountability partner, sign up for classes that excites you, and write down your exercise routine. It’s also handy to have some activities you can do at home such as a rebounder. Just do your best and most importantly have fun with it.
If you don’t know what to do, go for daily walks. This is one the THE best things we can do for our health. It’s a key to longevity in the blue zones. No need to go to the gym. Just spend time outdoors as much as you can.
Yoga Poses For Breast Health
Yoga has innumerable benefits as I’m sure you’re all well aware of. In terms of breast health, many of the poses help to open up the chest which not only helps increase blood and lymph circulation but helps to release any stagnant energy and emotions in the area.
Forward bends poses increase circulation in and around the breasts and armpits band help to relieve any discomfort in the neck, upper back, and shoulders.
Inversions are incredibly powerful and healing and crucial to maintaining healthy breasts. They increase energy, boost circulation in the breasts, support a healthy lymphatic, endocrine and immune system, relieve breast inflammation, pain and helps mothers who are breastfeeding avoid breast congestion and hardness.
Reclining poses are incredibly restorative. They help relieve tension and many of them allow the breast tissue to tissue to move and stretch away from the breast bone which cools any inflammation
